Pearson Integration “External Tool” Setup

Admins, follow these instructions to set up the Pearson external tool for Moodle. This should be done from scratch on each new instance of Moodle and before the semester begins. Instructors liaise with an agent at Pearson who provides the tool access to their systems.

To set up an instance of the External Tool, instructors should:

1. Click “Turn Editing On”
2. Click the “Add an activity or resource” button
3. Click the “External tool” icon
4. Select “Pearson” from the “Preconfigured Tools” dropdown
5. Click the “Select Content” button
6. Click the “Open Pearson” button that appears. Interact with the Pearson system via the browser window that opens.
7. Click the “Save and display” button on the Moodle activity
