Enrol a User in a Course

As a teacher in a Moodle course, you can enrol any user on your Moodle course with any role*, as long as they have an account in the current semester Moodle (e.g., another teacher or an administrator) .

* Please note, official teaching assistants and visiting students must be added via AIRS, to ensure they have the proper STARS and SAPS roles: 

Any non-Bilkenter, an administrative assistant, or a Bilkent student who is not registered in the STARS system in the current semester (e.g., some PhD students) must have an account created manually by the Moodle support team  (send moodle@bilkent.edu.tr their full name and email address)

For users with Moodle accounts on the semester site, you can enrol them yourself as follows:

  • In your Moodle course, click on “Participants” in the left hand menu.

  • The list of participants will open.
  • Click the “Enrol users” button of the participant list page at top right corner.

  • Use the search box, filters, or list of available users to select the person(s) you want to enrol

  • Select their role from the “Assign Role” pull down list of available roles. Click the show more/less links for more options.

  • And, done…
